Even if you’re a small start-up business, it is important that your customers don’t see you that way. Your customers want to feel confident in your business, and they will, if they think, you’re a big deal.

Below is a list of five marketing tools to help you better serve your customers and grow your business:

As a starting point for small business, Mailchimp is the perfect platform. It’s a tool that is vital for Small Business, as it gets the word out there about your products or services. It’s free for under 2000 subscribers. It’s simple to use, with templates and clearly marked instructions. You can create an email newsletter in not time.  You can also segment your mailing lists to different target audiences.

The reports are easy to use too, and allow you to see your open and click through rates. I believe that what you can measure you can improve. To remain top of mind send regular newsletters to your database of clients. Include interesting and educational information. A strong call to action will drive traffic to your website.

2. Infusionsoft

If you are looking for a system that offers many benefits, then Infusionsoft is for you. It’s a CRM, email marketing system and e-commerce store all in one. Infusionsoft can grow with your business as your business grows. When choosing the best system for your small business, consider the kind of investment you can afford to make. And the level of sales and marketing activity you plan to undertake.

3. Buffer

My clients have mentioned to me that I must spend hours on social media every day. The reality is I barely spend any time on my social media now. I have used other platforms before, but I never got the hang of automating my social media until Buffer. Buffer, allows me to schedule all my posts in advance. I feed the content through an RSS feed on Buffer and program when it’s distributed.

No Small Business owner or their team should be spending hours on social media. My social media engagement has increased dramatically since using this tool, as has my followers.

Your blog post headlines are what will interest your readers in the first instance. This tool analyses your headlines and gives you a score then determines the headlines’ ability to result in social shares. I don’t know what I did without this tool. Yes, I do; my headlines were crap.

If you’re not a Photoshop professional, Canva is the perfect tool for you. It allows you to create professional marketing graphics in no time. Canva offers are a range of templates, from Facebook headers to Twitter headers. It’s so easy to use; you’ll wonder what you did without it.
