Have you ever had a potential client say to you, “Hmmm! Sounds interesting. I’ll get…
A Pitch Script to Blow the Socks Off Your Potential Clients
Does the thought of having to ‘pitch’ your services make you feel a little bit sick?
Are you just not sure of a great approach that will take your potential clients on a great journey? Then here, borrow my pitch script suggestion. Use 4 visual models to make your pitch deck dynamic, exciting, and compelling. You can either do this via a PowerPoint presentation, a trusty flip-chart, a whiteboard or even on the back of a napkin!
1. Excite your audience.
First, we need to get people curious and fired up about what you’re presenting. So, step one is to show them what the typical journey of someone in the area that you help with might be.
- “This is the typical journey of a superstar presenter …”
- “This is the typical journey of a thought leader …”
- “This is the typical journey of a relationship …”
And then show them what the typical journey is like, starting at the bottom or the beginning and working their way toward the goal. By showing them this journey, you’ll get them to self-identify where they are and where they want to get to.
You might not be helping them with the entire journey, maybe just a few steps. But framing it this way will help them to see the bigger picture and feel energised to take action.
Pro tip: Having a visual diagram of this journey makes it more compelling.
2. Show them what it takes to achieve success in the steps you are taking them on.
“If you want to be a _______________ [top level of your excite model], then here are the key ingredients you need.”
This is where you show them some of the things they’ll need to master to get to their goal. It could be anything from mindset, cash flow, products, systems … You name it!
3. Demonstrate ‘how’ you take them from point A to point B.
“And this is how you do it ________________.”
This is where you take them through a very quick overview of how you specifically help them get from A to B, with your signature system. This works best when you can visually show them how you take them from point A to B with a visual model.
This gives them confidence that you have something concrete that you’re selling, not just a dream, but a proven methodology.
4. Show them the benefits of working with you so that they say, “Yes, yes, yes.”
“If you follow this proven system, you get ______________.”
This is the icing on the cake. What benefits do they get from doing it your way? Maybe they save time or save money. Maybe it accelerates them. It could help them avoid common pitfalls.
Putting it all together.
“This is the typical journey of a _____________. If you want to be a _______________ [top level of your excite model], then here are the key ingredients you need. And this is how you do it ________________ when you work with me. If you follow this proven system, you get ______________.”
Don’t forget to use visual models for each part for maximum impact.
